About the role 

 

We're looking for a Regional Manager to oversee the performance and success of our Anytime Fitness Centre's (multi-site position). This is a true #1 role, tied at the hip with our Managing Director to execute our aggressive, ambitious vision for growth in 2018. 

 

Highly organized, highly motivated, goal and detail-oriented, self-starter, who is passionate and experienced in all things as they relate to Fitness, Personal training, Business operations, team development and leading a team. Someone, who is all about hustle, flexibility, and adaptability in a highly challenging, positive, and rewarding environment.

 

This role will wear many hats - Managing the sales department, developing and strengthening the entire PT department, developing and implementing an operational & growth strategy to support scale and efficiency within the business, finding and realizing growth opportunities through smart, savvy new business development, and being a core piece of the leadership within our team. We're looking for someone who has operated in a leadership role inside a gym or similar customer service driven organization at scale, but loves the idea of joining a start-up and building something from scratch. We're looking for someone who believes or has shown they have CEO material and DNA - someone who wants to be on a fast track with one of the fastest growing Fitness Centers in the area.

 

Certification as a personal trainer is an advantage, however the role mainly seeks a person who is committed to excellence and can deliver the highest level of service, believes the customer is always first and can easily build rapport and relationships.

 

The ability to understand the customers needs, and promote and sell the clubs products & services is a cornerstone of the role and an extensive background in service and selling is a key ability required.

 

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Developing marketing plans which can be followed by club managers and understood by owners. 
  • Ensure staff are trained and adhere to company and Head Office policies and procedures. 
  • Achieve agreed targets and ensure growth in the company and each club. 
  • Manage multiple clubs, within NSW, QLD and Melbourne. 
  • Developing a strong marketing plan which includes and not limited to effective outreaching, business to business meetings, and effective social media exposure. 
  • Develop an effective pre-sale plan to reach sales targets. 
  • Manage, monitor and develop the performance of employees
  • Develop successful marketing strategies to achieve agreed targets during pre-sales of a fitness club opening. 
  • Ensure all front desk systems are followed 
  • Ensure clubs are clean, safe, well-maintained and operationally sound
  • Ensure KPIs for self development is continually met. 
  • Ensure club KPIs are reached on a monthly basis.
  • Travel interstate as required.
  • Results driven, problem solver and a confident ability to work autonomously
  • Be highly organized and have a high level of attention to detail.
  • A blazing passion for health and fitness and the energy and ability to deliver exceptional service everyday
  • An infectious smile, upbeat demeanor, and warm personality that contributes to an already ridiculously strong company culture.
  • Needs to be or become an expert in Sales, Marketing, Leading a team and Facility upkeep.
  • Work with other site managers to ensure each gym site is achieving KPI's and performance targets in the most efficient ways possible (Lowest Cost and Fastest Delivery)
  • Given the breadth of work happening, the GM needs to be capable of having a significant positive impact in business situations with the lowest number of touches and has a proven reputation for thought leadership and mentorship
  • Has a long track record of success in generating new business and will lead new client opportunities that are self identified or assigned by the Management team.
  • Responsible for achieving monthly and yearly budgets and oversees business health, resourcing and revenue realization across the business
  • Responsible for People Development and Management across the various disciplines reflected in their team.
  • Initiates opportunities for education and professional development at a group level
  • In consultation with the Managing Director executes annual reviews and personalized development plans for all team members they supervise.
  • Directly supervises a team to achieve operational and financial outcomes.

About you

 

Do you have the following experience and qualities?

  • First-rate people skills and a self-motivated work ethic
  • Passion for the industry and changing people’s lives
  • A minimum of 2 years managing multiple fitness centres experience
  • Experience in reaching set sales targets. 
  • Experience in managing an effective pre-sales plan. 
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and developing high-performance teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Passion for delivering excellence in customer service
  • Management experience in a high pressure sales environment & 5 star Hotel Management experience is highly valued
