The role:

You will be responsible for business analysis of the company’s multiple brands, including reporting, financial analysis, KPI reporting and be involved in a variety of project work. This role will provide business insights and strategic support to business leaders by preparing performance reports, creating financial presentation, analysing expenditures, developing industry comparisons, evaluating new business opportunities, acquisitions and other projects. This function acts as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support business decision making.

  • Drive process improvement in the budget process by incorporating automation and best practices, increasing accuracy and efficiency
  • Analyse current and past trends in key performance indicators including all revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures
  • Develop consistent reporting across entities as well as monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analysing causes of variances
  • Consultative partner to operations leadership, provides analytical insight and recommends strategic actions that will drive performance and achieve objectives
  • Enhance Business Intelligence by developing data models, reports and working with other teams to improve data quality and availability
  • Effectively communicate results, projections and variances outside of the finance department
  • Support leadership with in-depth analysis

About you:

  • Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • CA/CPA preferred
  • 2-3 years experience in a similar role
  • Advanced excel modelling skills
  • Advanced analytical, mathematical, and spreadsheet modeling skills
  • Experience with business intelligence applications (i.e. Power BI, Tableau, Cognos)
  • Ability to think creatively, deadline-driven and self-motivated contributor
  • Experience in multi-unit consumer industries preferred
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision and highly organized
  • Ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally to audience of various levels of financial aptitude
